Graeme Elston

Graeme loves creative work that raises a smile, tells a tale, or tugs the heartstrings, and enjoys working as part of a team to make great ideas come to life through sound. He’s worked on campaigns for major brands including Kelloggs, Tesco, McDonalds, Ford, British Gas and L’Oreal, and on award winning promos for Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice and The Apprentice among others. He adores pop culture in all its messy glory.

In 25 years in the Engineer’s chair, he has recorded diverse voiceover talent ranging from the legendary John Peel to the formidable Joan Collins and lived to tell the tale (discreetly, of course). As a politics geek he also counts recording the then Spectator editor Boris Johnson as one of his more… memorable session experiences. Whatever happened to him?

Graeme reached the dizzy heights of 147 in the UK charts during the Britpop wars, recorded two Peel sessions, and toured Japan as a solo artist. He retains a keen ear for the best way around a tricky music edit. These days he is also, unashamedly, an Archers Addict and therefore a connoisseur of cow sfx and clunky exposition in his spare time.
